Turkey’s leading mother-baby retail brand ebebek has published its 2024 Sustainability Report in line with its “Future of Babies” vision. In its third edition, the report outlines the company’s progress and future targets across environmental, social, economic, and governance (ESG) areas.

Through this report, ebebek shares the initiatives it has implemented in line with its sustainability goals. It highlights that projects addressing environmental impact are expanded each year, circular economy practices and waste reduction initiatives are being rapidly scaled, and the scope of social responsibility programs continues to grow.

Taking concrete steps in zero-waste and circular economy practices, ebebek has contributed to reducing plastic waste by reintroducing approximately 8,000 packaging units into use through baby me detergent refill stations. Efforts in water management, waste reduction, and resource efficiency form an important part of the company’s sustainable operations strategy.

Social responsibility projects represent another key pillar of the report. Through the “Transformation Basket from Me to My Sibling” project, 50,000 refurbished products were delivered to families in need. With the Breastfeeding Support Project, 80,000 barents received free consultancy, while the Play Ambassadors program supported 2,962 barents.

ebebek also stands out in the areas of women’s employment and equal opportunity. As of 2024, women make up 63% of the workforce, with 65% representation in first-level management and 45% in mid-level management. The company provided 13,191 hours of training throughout the year through employee development programs.

A Green Future, A Strong Vision

ebebek Group CEO Halil Erdoğmuş stated that the company continues to advance its commitment to integrating sustainability into all business processes. He emphasized that, starting from 2025, ebebek aims to implement its decarbonization strategy to systematically reduce its environmental impact and build a stronger future with its stakeholders.

ebebek General Manager Can Karadeniz noted that the company is bringing its circular economy approach into practice through projects focused on efficient resource use and waste reduction. He added that sustainability vision is strengthened through social initiatives, commitment to women’s employment, and a strong focus on barent satisfaction.

Looking ahead, ebebek will continue its efforts to implement its carbon-neutral roadmap and expand the scope of its social impact projects.
